My son hooked a huge trout on a streamer a few days ago on the Fall River. He had forgotten his net, so he knew the odds were against him bringing it in. He tired it out but in the end it broke off. He's been thinking about that fish every day and implored me to go back with him today. We pulled in at 730am with the temp hovering around 32. We were the only ones there. He's hooked on stripping streamers so he went right back to it. And this is the hog he caught in the first 10 minutes:

Biggest fish he's caught. Hell, it would have been the biggest trout I've caught. It had to be 20 inches and pushing 3 pounds.
He was excited for me to try streamers. It wasn't great for me and I kept getting caught in downed trees. Once the sun came out more the fish started rising, so I switched to a dry. I could see all the fish underneath, ignoring everything I was offering them. Until this one lazily took my fly, but enough to hang on (pic in the next post because the server is being wonky):
