When we visited the Deep South in April, I told my wife I was glad we were renting a car in New Orleans for our road trip, presumably with local plates, half- (but only half) joking I wasn't sure what reception we'd receive in our own car. Hertz gave us a Chrysler 300 with California plates. I toyed with getting a MAGA hat for, you know, self-protection, but I just couldn't. -

We went to Disneyworld in June. On one day, I wore a BYU shirt and didn't get a single comment on it. No scowls that I noticed either though. On another, I wore a Vanderbilt shirt that a friend of the family, who is in their nursing program, got me. I'm sure geography played some into it, but I got a ton of questions about going to school there or being from Nashville. It was interesting to contrast.Comment

I agree with your point. This idiotic lady didn’t mean 50/50, she was hyperbolic (not sure that’s correct word). But in her brain she probably thought it was 5%. Funny thing is he already sort of got the death penalty. They struck his answer and entered a default on liability due to his discovery abuses, and now they trial is just on damages.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Many states have a cap on punitives that is a multiplier of the compensatory damages awarded (3x or 4x or something like that).
