Used HipChat but not the mobile client so I can't comment on battery drain. At work we use Cisco Jabber but it doesn't really support persistent chat rooms that well. HipChat does a much better job with persistent chat rooms. I hate Google Hangouts. You can't download their old chat client anymore so I just go with Pidgin for my various personal chat needs. Skype also works well but the ads that Microsoft put in make me not want to use it.

I met Tim on IRC on the EFnet (later moved to the undernet). #mormon We became roommates about 2 years later.

Then, I met my wife on #mormon. She's a much better kisser than Tim.

Jay doesn't need onion router and private network crap. That just gets the FBI involved and looking at what he is doing.
