Next Saturday at my grandpa's is going to so much <redacted> fun.

To be fair, people who claim that the last decade or whatever is the hottest on record to support their claim of man made climate change are just as stupid.

Global warming ends in Texas on Saturday... we go from the 70's to the 30's for Sunday.

So decades of data from all over the world have the same statistical significance as one storm in one location? Uh... OK.

I think they are pretty smart. Changing the theme from global warming to climate change was a brilliant move. Does someone really want to argue that the climate doesn't change? I also think it pretty reasonable that mans existence could be a cause for climate change.
So whether we heat up or cool down, it's mans fault. Just think if man wasn't on the earth the climate would stay the same day after day, week after week, month after and so on and so on.
So decades of data from all over the world has the same statistical significance as one storm in one location? Uh... OK.
Yes, a decade's worth of one measurement to explain climate change with respect to an earth that is billions of years old is as useless as one storm in one location. If something is useless, what is the point of arguing which is more useless?
People on both sides do this shit all the time. A hurricane happens and the left losses its mind because it must be caused by global warming. It's cold in the mid-west and those on the right claim that it is evidence that global warming isn't happening. People citing that it is warmer now than ever in recorded history as conclusive evidence that climate change is real are just as stupid. Recorded history makes up what, 150 years?
Uh, yes. 150 years of "recorded" temps to prove that the earth, which is billions of years old, is warming is ridiculous. To be clear, I am not making any argument here about the veracity of climate change arguments or deniers arguments as a whole, only that pointing to these single factors, whether it be temps in recorded history or one meaningless storm, are ridiculous data points to draw any conclusion from.

No kidding. Let me guess how this will play out. '71 will pounce on this with a sarcastic 'scientists are so smart' post, JL will retort, Iman will continue to argue with guns blazing. Rinse and repeat.
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Describing something minutes after it just happened isn't what would be considered a guess. Now you know!

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
Alright, feel free to explain how it isn't useless to point to only recorded temps over the past decade to draw any conclusions regarding unchangeable patterns in the earth's climate.
Edit: I see now that perhaps the issue may be with my first post on this issue today. I said that people who use recorded temps to support their claim as being just as stupid. "Support" wasn't the word I should of used, of course they should and could use it to support, what I intended but failed to state was that it was people who use this as the basis of their argument are just as ridiculous.

Haha. No. Debating angryjapanesedude is the most futile thing ever. Pass.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
