I've been to San Francisco a number of times and stayed in several different hotels, but I'd love to get a fresh perspective from the group here. I've been searching for places relatively close to Union Square, but I'd love to hear if there are any hotels in SF that you particularly love or have heard great things about.

Fairmont is nice too. There is also a nice little boutique place by union square whose name I can't recall. Inwill try to get it at work tomorrow.PLesa excuse the tpyos.Comment

I enjoyed my stay at the Huntington Hotel. It isn't that far from Union Square. I've been to dance conventions at the Westin St. Francis right in the heart of Union Square and wasn't that impressed with that.Comment

You might like the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. It seems like it might be the type of thing you'd enjoy.
