Yeah, I started with three greens. I should have gone fishing for more consonants in my subsequent guesses (i.e. not used the letters I knew to be correct). I took my first wordle L today.Last edited by Green Monstah; 02-08-2022, 01:33 PM.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

Struggling the last two days.
Spoiler for my guesses:

After the first guess I thought "sweet, I am going to get this in 2 guesses today" but then I found 12 words that would work. All are common. My very first guess was "FRAME", but I picked other options as they would be more effective in trimming the list if I was wrong. Should have trusted my gut I guess.

Spoiler for my response:
Those are the exact four words Mrs. Diddley used this morning as well.

I think today's puzzle is a good example of how guessing words that clearly won't fit (the anti-DH strategy) is beneficial. When you have 3 correct letters early, and the list of possibly correct words is so long, you really need to eliminate as many letters as possible. Guessing only from a list of words that could fit your 3 correct letters only allows you to guess 2 new letters per guess. If you can double that to 4 new letters per guess, for at least one turn, you've got a better chance of getting it right in less turns, I think.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostStruggling the last two days.

Today was Wordle's way of trolling all you IRATE starters. Well played, Wordle. Well played.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
