Are you referring the 2010 CUF Ride at Bend (hosted by HFN)? So after a 40-mile tune-up Friday, and the main event Saturday (around 88 miles with a lot of climbing), Topper went out and did another 88 on the Sabbath?Originally posted by SteelBlue View PostThat was a fun weekend. I still laugh remembering how dead I was after Saturday and having you ask if I wanted to "ride that course again real quick" on Sunday. IIRC, you went out and did it again.
We need to start planning a suitable ride for next year, so Topper, BigPiney, RCVikings and bluegoose can kill each other.

Yep. I'm pretty sure he went out and did it again. I remember getting a phone call from him about half way through.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostAre you referring the 2010 CUF Ride at Bend (hosted by HFN)? Warren Beatty may be more appropriate.Originally posted by calicoug View PostNow I see why Sean Connery is your picture!"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Well I am not in that sort of shape right now. I did 90 in the 110 heat and virtually died. Now I'm running 18 tomorrow and I'm aghast at how slow that run will be. It will be timed via a calendar. See you some time in August.Originally posted by SteelBlue View PostThat was a fun weekend. I'd like to meet all of you goofballs.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

I also just realized that you called me a fine cyclist. This likely means you're thinking I'm bluegoose. I'm the one who wasn't a fine cyclist.Originally posted by Topper View PostWell I am not in that sort of shape right now. I did 90 in the 110 heat and virtually died. Ditto. However, I've never actually been successful at meeting anyone online. So I can't say if it is surprisingly bereft of creepiness or not.Originally posted by Commando View PostI always get weirded out at the thought of meeting people from online places. However, those from CUF whom I have met (not those I knew from before) have been cool and the interaction was surprisingly bereft of creepiness. Big ups, CUF!
Yeah. I'm actually sitting in a DC hotel room as I type. I tried to meet up with some of these DC folks a couple of years ago when I was here and it just didn't work out...Originally posted by FMCoug View PostJerk. Looking at an early December trip to DC and I know who I will NOT be looking up. UD is welcome to meet me for a meal if he comes alone though.

He does have good form and his backside would make a lot of people jealous.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostMaybe he just thinks you look really attractive while cycling."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
