Thanks Frank, in some respects reason is my religionOriginally posted by frank ryan View Postlol, i wrote something and it got accidentally deleted. in spite of where he lives, he has reasoned approach to religion and politics. he is also one of the more humble blokes around here.
. I'll admit that I like Frank the more I've gotten to know him. He's incredibly smart and has a very different history than me, which always intrigues me. I'll admit that he's helped soften my stance a bit on unionization, which is saying a lot.
I'll be in Utah from August 13-20. I'm not sure my exact schedule but I'd be willing to meet up with anyone if time allows. I'm always up for meeting people from CUF and I doubt there is anyone that I'd decline to meet."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

This is kinda a popularity contest. So be prepared to have your feelings hurt.

Adding: pelligrino, rosebud, and RamBam to the "already met" list.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.
