The thread for when you find stuff in your pants

or other articles of clothing such as jackets, suitcoats, etc.

I assume it happens to most people that every now and then you pull something out of the closet that you hung up months ago when you got home on a late night and never properly excavated the contents.

Today I pulled a pair of jeans from the back of my jeans drawer (I confess, I've got lots of jeans, but maybe only two pairs that cost any more than $50) and was surprised to find:

    *$27 in cash
*a pack of Trident Spearmint gum
*A receipt from Walgreens at 145 4th Ave off of Union Square - purchases were (a) Aussie Volume shampoo, (b) waxed dental tape (mint), (c) a pack of spearmint Trident gum.

The receipt says helpfully at the top: "I'm Asha. Thank you for allowing me to help you today."

I was most excited abt the $27 in cash.

When you find fun stuff in your pants, pls share with the board.

p.s. I hope some of the German grandmother poster types are going to ask "why didn't those jeans just go straight in the laundry since you wore them." Answer: My jeans typically get three uses between washes.

Do we have a lot of German grandmother types?

I found a $20 bill in a pair of shorts as I was getting ready to go to the Oregon/Utah basketball game. I hadn't worn these particular shorts in at least 2 years. It was a nice perk.

I didn't find this in my pants but Wuap did you know that Dale Murphy is on Twitter? Over 4,000 Tweets!

This is going to be a fun thread, but unfortunately I won't be able to play.

This thread has caused me great consternation. The twelve year old me, who is never far enough from the surface, has several jokes he wants to make. The over 50 year old me, who should know better, has so far prevailed. But i make no promises.

50 year old me says he likes it when he finds new or almost unused guitar picks in his pockets. That happens sometimes and is like a nice little bonus.
            PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Nice. And no need to make any promises. Whatever you find in your pants can be shared on this thread.

I was wondering if this thread is for euphemisms after seeing the title, now I'm convinced it is.

I was playing mom for a few weeks, while my wife was in Arizona. My Philosophy to laundry is too get it done as quickly and effortlessly as possible. One morning I’m driving my 12 year old daughter to school and she’s leaving the house without a coat. I say, “where’s your jacket.” She responds, “I don’t know”. Typical battle that I have to go through at least 50 times per year. Fortunately, I recall that I washed her a few hoodies a few days ago, so I run upstairs and fumble through the clean laundry basket and grab a hoodie quickly so were not late. She slides it over her head.

Later that night, when I get home from school my daughter is waiting for me, giving me the death stare. I’m like, “what?”

She then tells me about her day. She sitting in her Chinese class, and a girl a couple of desks behind her whispers, “hey, and points to the back of her neck. You’ve got something in your hoodie.” My daughter reaches back into her hood and pulls out a pair of her panties. Her class and the teacher start rolling, she is mortified, but she’s quick. She yells out all accusingly, “who put this underwear in my hoodie?” I thought that was clever meanwhile, my Father of the year award is slowly slipping away.

Yes - but next time you ask where her jacket is and offer to get her one, I would bet you ANYTHING that she'll be running to the door to get it herself and will have NO trouble remembering exactly where it is.

That's a win-win for Dad. You couldn't have planned it better had you tried.

I'm the same way with my pants, even if they are going another round. My sport coats are another story. I'm finally able to fit into a sport coat that I haven't worn in a few years and I found a cute note from one of my primary kids. She was 5 at the time and was just baptized last week. That's worth more than $20 to me.

Hey monkey, is that a pencil in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? Also, since when do monkeys wear pants (not surprisingly, they are pleated pants)?
