I'm a little bit of a Jack of All Trades, Master of None type of guy. There are a lot of things I can do well enough to get myself in trouble, but when it comes to things I am really good at, the list is short. In fact, there are probably only two or three things at which I can honestly consider myself truly adept. The list of things I wish I could do well is much longer, but here are just a few - I'll add more later:
1) Close. Finishing anything is a huge challenge for me, and I admire people who put finishing touches on things. Once a project is finished enough to work, I usually lose interest and move on. I really, really need to be better at closing.
2) Write. I'm not proud, but not afraid, to admit that 75% of everyone who takes the GMAT can write better than I. It's really difficult for me to articulate my thoughts and make well-reasoned arguments in writing, especially technical writing. It's also not unusual for me to spend two hours on one paragraph if it's something I need for work. It's strange that I spend very little time on my CUF posts, but I guess that's because I'm confident that all the smart people here will know what I'm trying to say even if it reads like nonsense.
3) Play guitar. I've been playing the guitar for 20 years now, and I'm still not much better than a glorified strummer. I admire the folks here like creek, shaka, SIEQ, etc. who can really riff.
