Why didn't someone message me on that McMuffin maker deal at Target? Assholes.Originally posted by Dwight Schr-ute View PostHard to pass up with deal on Target.com today.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I debated putting this here or in the Suits (the TV show) thread, but here goes...
Lots of $97 suits on clearance at Jos. A. Bank. I feel kinda strange pimping them all the time, but its hard to pass up a sub-$100, 100% wool suit.

Get a house for $150 and an essay...
http://www.150house.comWe are selling our home in the Heights for $150.
That's a pretty good price.
Really?
Yes—but we're asking you to write a 200 word essay on why we should sell the house to you. Each offer also requires a $150 offer fee. Complete details on the sale of the home are below."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Does this verdict still stand? I've recently switched to Plex but find it annoying with the Appletv so I figured I'd try something else to stream. The Fire Stick is on sale again today.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostFire stick came yesterday. Love it. Plex app is especially nice. Fantastic deal for $20.

It worked fairly well for me, but in the end I decided I prefer Roku so I bought one of the new Roku devices released a couple of months ago ($89?). That way I get a wired connection, much faster processor, familiar apps (I have two other roku boxes on other TVs).
Youtube streaming is always pretty simple, I think."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Yeah, I agree with the above. For $20 the firestick is worth it. It works fine for netflix and amazon. It sometimes has problems with streaming stuff from a plex server for some reason which could be related to wireless. There is an AirPlay/DLNA app available on the firestick that allows you to screen share from your Mac or iPhone that is kind of nice. Other than that I prefer the Roku with a wired connection for a lot of the same reasons above.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostNo longer available for $20.

It's $25 today, but I'd only use it for Plex. We don't really watch much TV except for sports and the kids cartoons.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostYeah, I agree with the above. So the roku has a wired connection? Meaning you actually plug an Ethernet cable into it? Seems weird since I haven't used a cable in a long time. Even my main computer runs on wireless wifi."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. 1080p streaming hogs your wifi bandwidth. Especially with multiple TVs. And wait until 4K becomes mainstream. Best to wire all of your media devices if you can."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
