Every boy (and Dad) should have the thrill of getting an RC car for Christmas.

And when they drop that car down the stairs Christmas night, Mom can step in and console Dad who will be far more upset than the boy...

Oh, I was talking about when I was young, and my Dad was more upset about my broken car than I was. I did buy one of my boys a car several years ago that they hardly every played with because the battery went dead too fast. I think I bought it som place like Toys-R-Us.

Speaking of Kohls, I was out running errands this morning and drove by Kohls and best Buy. There are about 10 tents outside of Best Buy in AF.
is the costco deal you're referring to this?

Local Walmart had a variety to choose from but they are preassembled. I would go to any local hobby store for a build it yourself option.

Here's some of the non-cheapo kits to which you may have been referring.

Yes. I bought one for MMM. Already sent in the $30 mail-in rebate. You also get a free 1 year sub to either Food/Wine or Travel/Leisure. I went with Food/Wine.

                  • One other thing about the Kohl's mixer.....the motor has about half the power as the Costco model, so if you or wife plan on mixing a lot of cookie dough, bread, pasta or other thick stuff, you might want to consider that, as well. The Costco model is apparently a newer model that is now being made specifically for the 'Co, so if you don't get one now, they will probably pop up regularly. I thought $219 all in was a really good deal, though. The Kohl's one is also a great deal, too, esp if you are mostly using it for pancakes, mashed potatoes, or cake batter.

Wal-Mart has 1600 piece mixed bricks for $30. Not sure how many pounds that is. They also have 200 piece Duplos for the same price. We're going to get some Duplos since we our girls are still young. I picked up a Lego table on Craigslist for $40 that is pretty sweet. Initially I was going to buy a table from Ikea or something and then glue some base plates down on it. That was before I saw how much those base plates go for.

We have a Lego table. $40?? That is insanely cheap!

1600 mixed bricks for $30. I will go check that out tonight. Drive over at 10.

Wal mart is also selling the Wii for $99 online right now, today only. Pretty good deal if you want a Wii.

                          • Batman Arkham Asylum coming up on Amazon, probably for $28 like Wal Mart. I think it comes up at 9:15 MST.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I am very proud of our craiglist Lego table find, the thing is like new. Saved us so much money!!!

WalMart tonight was crazy. I don't like this system at all. They didn't close the stores but all the Black Friday deals were still wrapped up on pallets in the aisles. We were hoping to pick up Dance Central 2 for 15$ but they couldn't find 18 pallets of x-box video games and everyone was pissed! So my big pregnant self grabbed 2 XXL boxes of Lego duplos (out of the 6 they had out). People around me were crazy but no one really messes with a pregnant lady I guess. We were out by 10:20.

                              • It was interesting. Some people were professional shoppers. One lady had a map and a Black Friday flyer and her checklist. She had a walkie talkie and was game planning for the 10pm and 12am releases. Others were simply animals. When it struck 10pm people started diving for printers. I was curious to know what half these people would ever need a printer for. Yes, I am a judgmental asshole.

We were in and out with relative ease.
