There is this thing called a swimming pool. In Texas most everyone has access to one.

At least you're not in Minot. The river there is going to crest at 1,564.5 feet!

For those that live in AZ how often do these dust storms hit there?

          • After consecutive days of 113 and 111 degrees, July 4th was a beautiful 92 degrees.

            • Our warmest streak of the year is happening in September? Weird. Not looking forward to this.

                  • So we had some snow on our driveway this evening when we returned home from dinner at the 'laws. It was around 8:30, dark, and the snow had basically turned to ice. Our driveway is nonsense....this long steep stretch of nonsense that can be a hassle when frozen and if not careful. Driving up it in my wife's car, I didn't give it enough gas and speed, wheels started spinning when we were almost at the top of the driveway, then we start sliding back. Fortunately, the van came to a stop at a slight angle, but only about 5 inches from a big boulder that would have left a problematic dent in the back of the vehicle.

I'm getting MMM a new ride this week before real snow storms start landing on us.

And for those that have steep driveways, how often are you salting your driveway during the winter? Or do you dust the ice/snow with tiny gravel? I have a killer snowblower, but after trying to walk the trash cans down the drive tonight, I'm wondering if it will be possible to maneuver that crazy heavy machine up and down that hill without falling and breaking my neck.

It's 19 degrees but feels MUCH colder. Must be the first real cold snap of the season.

                            • Today was the first day this winter I really felt cold on my walk/jog and it was only 28 degrees.

I may be small, but I'm slow.
