let's talk about loafers. i wish i liked bit loafers so i could buy a pair of ferragamos. i like monk straps, but they give off the "oh i work in marketing" vibe a little too much. i almost bought a pair of tbny monks at the anniversary sale, but the toe was a bit too pointed. penny loafers can look nice but don't seem as versatile as something like a venetian loafer.

I ordered these shoes and sure enough I got cap toe shoes that are khaki colored suede. My wife contacted Amazon about getting the shoes in the picture and how they had sent the wrong ones.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostI received these shoes yesterday. $50 for them is an excellent deal, they're as Falawful described them -- really $100 to $140 shoes.
This morning, these things were listed at $53 on Amazon and now they're $285. Made in Italy with leather soles.

There's possibility these are mislisted, they say "sand suede" but the picture sends something different.
I'm happy to say that Amazon got right on top of it. Unfortunately they sent another pair of the same damn suede shoes via Fed Ex priority -- LOL.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

just got a pair of ae penny loafers from this guy. the soles have the seconds stamp on then (to prevent warranty work), but i can't figure out why these are seconds. no blemishes anywhere, new soles, stitching is all perfect. plus i got them for half of what he was asking.Originally posted by old_gregg View PostTe Occidere Possunt Sed Te Edere Non Possunt Nefas Est.

Hit up Last Chance while in PHX for depos, recently. Grabbed a $450 pair of black To Boot NY cap-toes for $60. Brand new w/tags. Also snagged some gently used tan Cole Haans for $40. Love that place.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

Years ago I picked up some To Boot NY's at the same place. I still have those things and they are in great shape. Unfortunately the toe is a little square for today's fashion. One day they will be back in. Probably the best pair of dress shoes I've ever had.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostHit up Last Chance while in PHX for depos, recently. Hadn't heard of them. But a quick perusal of their website shows some positives and some negatives.
Positive: Goodyear welt construction means they can be re-soled. That's generally a sign of quality.
Negative: No warranty to be found. Usually upstart companies like that are so confident in their product they will guarantee it for a couple years or more. I couldn't find a warranty on their website.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

I've been buying some AEs and TBNYs on eBay recently. Better selection than last chance, but a little more expensive. Been paying about $80-$90 for basically brand-new shoes.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Oxford. With brogueing on the cap line (not the toe itself) and around the topline.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
