I heard worse every week while teaching primary. The articles of faith songs are ridiculous. I love how we're teaching four year olds how to sing the words ordininances and transgression.

So I just read that this girl is not any kind of professional singer, is 13, and the video and song she sang was all part of a $2,000.00 "vanity package" that her mom got her. You know- just for fun.

I actually watched it through a couple times looking for the punchline the first time I saw it.
She was on Good Morning America yesterday for this. As of right now, her song is #21 on itunes and the video is approaching 22 million views. I've actually been checking back in with this video expecting her to say "just kidding everyone, it was a joke!" but it hasn't happened yet.

She's a cute girl that had fun making a video with her friends. The song is pretty bad, but I couldn't do better. I don't know why people are so mean. She'll be gone in a week. That's how it is with youtube fame. Unless you're Justin Bieber.

I don't get the hate. The girl isn't a professional but actually put together something half way decent. Sure the song is terrible, but I wish I had a viral video with over 21 million views and growing.

It sounds like she had nothing to do with the song, and it was just presented to her as one of two options for her vanity music video for a birthday party or something. I agree it's horrific, and I'll be annoyed if it gets any non-ironic popularity, but it just seems like a bit of fun.
