Of course there were no snowplows (asking for actual services as recompence for taxes paid is somehow viewed as petulance by Lehi officials). Getting off the big hill was quite an adventure. W/O all-wheel drive, I'm not sure it was possible to get out of our subdivision. Smaller cars w/o AWD were all over the place.
But the weather is strange here. I have no idea how much they got down in 'lower-Lehi' - possibly nothing? Could have been all rain. The extra 100-150 feet in altitude does amazing things to precipitation.
The strangest thing about this snow fall - no wind. I don't think I've ever experienced snow here when it wasn't blowing all over the place.Comment

About a foot up at my brother's place. All my kids wanted for Xmas was snow. And they got it in spades. Ski day for them on Christmas eve.Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.Comment

Some of your children are still in school? I thought everyone was out already. The Puffy Check are playing in the snow as we speak.
We received around 6 or 8 inches in Alpine area. Took me over an hour to get downtown this morning. Currently snowing lightly but steadily in the downtown SLC area.
Love it, though. Sure beats looking at all that fugly mud and dead trees everywhere.
We are going to Park City this afternoon and spending the night. Should be an adventure driving up through Parley Parker Pratt's Canyon.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Statman I live in Lower Lehi although more towards Eagle Mountain pretty close to Utah Lake. We got about 6-8 inches as well.
