Just an interesting dog tidbit. Airlines won't take brachycephalic (smushed faced) dogs. Too risky – they die too easily in cargo. My sister found this out when she tried to take her boston terrier on a family vacation to Utah. She lives on an island so unless she wants to kayak over, the dog won't be coming along.
Something to think about when you're shopping for a dog.
Oh really? We got our frenchie from a local breeder but other breeders offered to ship a puppy to us via airplane. I don't doubt your sisters experience but I imagine there are exceptions, too. In any case, our vacations will be dog free. TIA PAC for watching Posey!
Another thing to consider for brachycephalic dogs is that they often snore, although I just find it funny.

Could also be that the flight for my sister's dog is 8 hours. Your flight may have been much shorter.
bringing animals to seminary? someone is running out of material already.
She actually was a distraction and likely won't be back. All the kids know her and asked me to bring her. She loves them all too much, however, and was just too excited about the whole situation to settle down.
It's annoying when people take pictures of their dogs faces. Dogs aren't very photogenic.
I will not pass your hurtful comments on to her, you insensitive meanie.

Just picked up our lab today from his session. I felt a little guilty when I dropped him off. "Go on boy. Don't worry. They're just going to cut your testicles off". He doesn't seem to mind.
"You interns are like swallows. You shit all over my patients for six weeks and then fly off."
"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault. It's my fault for overestimating your competence."
There's no cat lover thread, nor should there be. But I wanted to post this picture somewhere.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
Sad day at the LA Ute house. We finally said good-bye to our 16 and 1/2 year-old dog. I had never been through that before, except with one of our cats, and this was the dog our kids grew up with, who was my running/walking companion for 8-10 years (before she got too old), and was pretty much a member of our family and the sweetest, most beloved dog in our neighborhood. We did it at home, so I got to hold her as she went to sleep. A tough-tender moment. We'll miss her.

You should post a pic of its tailless butt, so we can all make fun of her.
If she met you she would wag it even as you made fun of her.

No doubt. One of the friendliest breeds I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. My sister has an aussie... an incredibly dumb dog (I hold a snack, and she stares intently. I drop the snack, and it hits her in the face. This is the only dog I have ever met that doesn't try to catch the snack), though I'm sure your girl is as brilliant as she is friendly.

Ours has uncanny snout-eye coordination. She's also smart, except when she sees a squirrel or when someone pets her. All intelligence leaves her in those moments.
