I think my neighbor is a swinger

I've got a cool neighbor who'd always been very nice, but also keeps to himself. I've gone over there once or twice and knocked on the door to no answer, only to have them knock on my door 5 minutes later. The explanation (from the girlfriend) is usually something like "we weren't dressed." She later told me (can't remember the context) that they spend a lot of their time "without clothes on." I don't know if that means in jammies or in the nude.

Recently my neighbor broke up with his girlfriend, and since then he's had non-stop "get togethers" at his house. He's got a nice pool, and he spends a lot of time out there with his guests until laaaaate in the evening. My wife woke up the other night with our baby and heard him out there at 5AM! I haven't seen any dudes at his place though, just women.

Last night I was up with the baby at about 1 AM, pacing the floor to get her to sleep. I heard people in his pool and peaked out the window to see several skinny dippers. They had the patio light on, and the walls between houses are short. I'm sure every one of the 5 neighbors surrounding his house had a perfect view.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I get the impression that most swingers are like that.

Yeah, that's exactly right. I had to stay in a hotel in Phoenix and there was a Swingers convention....I figured such an event would be chalk full of good looking people....not so much.

Insert joke about RedSox being a Swinger [here].

swing for the fences baby, swing for the fences.

I get the feeling that swingers want to market themselves as hip, beautiful people, but in reality they're just nymphomaniacs looking for a way to satisfy their needs because other, more accepted paths have spurned them on account of their looks.

There was a couple in our old neighborhood that were swingers. They asked my wife and I one day if we were part of the lifestyle. We said no.

I did not catch anyone in the "act" of swinging, that is true. I hadn't considered that they might be nudists who begrudgingly wear clothes when society mandates it.

That still doesn't explain what a recently single guy was doing with TWO naked young women in his pool.

i'm not sure it's swinging if he doesn't have a girlfriend/wife with whom the husbands/boyfriends of his partners can "swing." probably just being a baller.

A good distinction. Perhpas his desires to "ball" more often were what caused his recent breakup.

I spoke with my other neighbor the other night - not the swinger. He's an interior decorator/designer, but he's not gay. He just got married for the 2nd time (to girl almost 20 years younger than him). Anyway, everyone always assumes he's gay when they learn what he does for a living. He understands that assumption, but he makes sure people know its false about him.

The designer neighbor used to be good friends with the swinger. The swinger used to invite the designer and his wife over to their pool and out to eat and all sorts of stuff. The swinger was always throwing lots of money around, buying rounds of drinks, paying for dinner, etc. Then, the swinger starts showing up at the designer's house at odd times. Several times he came by at 3 AM, saying he noticed the light was on, and wants to know if the designer wants to hang out or go for a swim. One time when they were swimming with their wives/girlfriends, apparently the swinger convinced them all to skinny dip.

Anyway, at some point along the way the swinger dropped all contact with the designer. The designer is not the type to be pushy at all, and in fact is the kind that only comes over if you initiate, etc. The designer can't figure out what happened, especially since the swinger was the one that was pushing so hard early on to hang out all the time. The designer can only think of one thing: the swinger is bisexual and/or gay. Once the swinger discovered that the designer was a dead end, he gave it up.

The other interesting tidbit from that conversation with the designer was that last summer he and his wife met some girl while they were out and brought her back to their place for a threesome. He apparently saw me coming home about that same time and while my wife was out of town. He then said he wondered why I didn't come over with them.
