Absolutely. Lately there have been a lot of new people or occasional drop-ins, including a lot more casual players or beginners. In fact I'm sure we'll get a bump from this article, as well. So there's quite a wide variety in skill level, in addition to the 10-15 on any given night who are regulars and quite good.

Everyone is quite friendly and willing to play anyone, don't worry about not being good enough. Nobody is when they first start coming, with rare exceptions.

So yeah I suppose you could just watch, but it sure would be more fun to actually play.

Can't argue with that. I'll come check it out.
Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

Starts at 5:30, I usually get there between then and 6. Starts to get more full by about 7. If you walk in and it looks like this...

...then you're in the right place.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like (that goes for anyone else as well that wants to check it out--Fusnik?)

...err, the Daily Herald. We had photographers and a reporter come to the provo club recently, here's the article.

I grew up in the same ward as Tom Hale. I've played him dozens of times over the years. When he wanted to give us a chance he would play with this little paddle that was all of 2" diameter. It was the only way that I could come close to beating him.

He was also a heck of a basketball player. When we would have free throw shooting contests he would consistently shoot close to 95%. I believe that he won the senior olympics free throw shooting contest a few years ago.

I wonder what kind of "work out" you get from playing table tennis? I mean, I don't know about you, but when I play...I can work up quite a sweat. Something must be going on with burning some kind of calories.

Hmm... Good motivation for me to remain active I guess.

That's awesome...I'll have to mention that to him, I usually see him a couple times a week between the various places I play (Provo club and at Bluehost). Course i don't know your name.... He's pulled out that mini-paddle a few times, they're fun to play with.

He's told some stories about his many athletic pursuits--apparently he's played a lot of vball and is a pool shark as well. Real nice guy--so nice that even though you get your ass handed to you by a 69 year old guy with back pain, you don't feel too bad about it. He still beats me more than I beat him.

Not the same as hoops or soccer or something, but not a shabby one either. On Friday mornings I'm always sore, after playing 3-4 hours the night before.
