Bigger. The iBooks deal is cool. Runs iWork. All I can think of right now.

Your appeal to history falls flat in light of your automobile analogy. You realize that without Ford, you would never be able to drive a Mercedes, right? So let's just put that argument to bed right now. You've successfully refuted it yourself. No need to bring it up again.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

You going to keep going with this? The first Mac came out in 1984 while the first PC came out in 1981 (Actually there was an IBM pc released around 1975 but it was labeled "PC". It looked a lot like the first Compaq portables.) The PC outsold the Mac by a huge margin.

I don't have a lot interest just yet either. But give it some time.

The book thing is the only reason I'd consider an iPad. For everything else I prefer the Touch because I can carry it on my belt rather than a man-purse.

I thought this was going to change the world? And you're not interested?

Actually Ford only really invented the assembly line ... A French dude invented the first automobile. So, it's a bad analogy all together that was not brought up by me genius

Now the Back Street Boys contribution to music as compared to the Beetles is much more appropriate!

Really? Gee I didn't know that. And were they the first commercially successful personal computer to use a GUI and a mouse?

                  Didn't think so.

For me, it is a very good long travel item. Definitely not a everyday use thing for me, but it looks to do enough things that would take the place of pulling out my laptop on the plane. Plus I love gadgets.

To be honest I think this could cause a bit of a backlash for the iPad.

Have you ever watched a movie? 98% (or more) of the movies you have watched in recent years were edited in Final Cut Pro it only runs on a Mac.

Yeah I'm a gadget guy too. I do not do a lot of really long trips so that aspect doesn't really do it for me. I do take my laptop with me when I travel but most of the time I leave it in the overhead and watch episodes of Dexter or something like it on my iPod Nano or smartphone.

Maybe one of these would be ok for the South Africa trip I'm trying to take this year.

Yet they coul have been edited just as easy on Premiere or Vegas.
