This is a tired argument. There are plenty of reasons to buy an iPhone over other smartphones."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I think it's more important to share your heart light with your friends. Let it shine where ever you go.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostTo monitor your heart and stuff...

Ha. Is that the link you want to use to support your argument? According to the link you gave, the G3's camera is better than the iPhone 6 because it is 13 megapixel compared to 8 for the iPhone 6. That's what relying only on specs gives you, a stupid conclusion. Maybe the G3's camera is better, but you have to look at much more than the raw specs. Same can be said to varying extent for processors, etc. It's not just the specs, it's what you do with them.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostI just don't understand why people keep buying a phone with lagging specs simply because it is Apple.
By the way, I recently got the LG G3 and it really is a fantastic phone. The display convinced me to move away from Samsung and I'm happy with that decision.

If you buy your phone based only on specs, do you also determine which car you will buy based on horsepower?

I certainly will consider more than specs, but it is interesting when Apple always lags behind in specs but is still asking for a premium price point.Originally posted by Clark Addison View PostHa. They do have superior design, packaging, and salesmanship. No wonder they acquired Beats by Dre- the most beautiful mediocre headphone in the world.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostI certainly will consider more than specs, but it is interesting when Apple always lags behind in specs but is still asking for a premium price point."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! It is getting to where the Android fanboys are indistinguishable from the Apple fanboys. Same dog, different leg.

I'd consider Apple if there wasn't a premium price attached to it without anything in return for that premium. iOS certainly has its advantages over Android, but it also has its disadvantages. It is nice that Apple has finally gone away from the postage stamp screen.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostIt is getting to where the Android fanboys are indistinguishable from the Apple fanboys. the iphone 6 is the same price as the lg g3 with a new contract. without a new contract, the g3 is $580 and the iphone 6 is $650.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostI'd consider Apple if there wasn't a premium price attached to it without anything in return for that premium. iOS certainly has its advantages over Android, but it also has its disadvantages. I got the LG G3 on contract at $49.99 a couple of weeks ago. You can typically get Android phones lower than the $199.99 contract price. This was for the G3 with 32 gigs of storage and 3 gigs of RAM.Originally posted by old_gregg View Postthe iphone 6 is the same price as the lg g3 with a new contract. without a new contract, the g3 is $580 and the iphone 6 is $650.As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Again, there are other reasons for buying an iPhone than price, specs, or because it's cool. My life has been much better since I went all Mac all the time. I'm happy to pay the premium for the hardware/software as it makes my life much easier.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostI got the LG G3 on contract at $49.99 a couple of weeks ago.
