Absolutely. I have been very happy with my iPhone 4s. Everything works and it works beautifully. Camera is superb. My only gripes were screen size and lack of native turn-by-turn nav. This addresses both of those features and more. Couldn't be happier with the overall design.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostPeople are really going to pull the trigger on this without knowing the processor speed or RAM on the phone?"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? I have the 4S as well but have 1 year left on the contract. Is it easy to upgrade without paying the full $600+ price?Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostAbsolutely. I have also had two Android devices and both of them worked well. Neither have suffered from poor workmanship or buggy apps.Originally posted by San Juan Sun View PostI've bought two previous iPhones with caring about the RAM or whatever.
All I know is: iPhones work. The two Android devices I had were cool for a little while, but suffered from poor worksmanship buggy apps.
Exit question: why would you prefer poorly built phones with unstable apps?As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

From what I understand, you'll end up paying $400 and signing a new 2-year deal (as opposed to the $200 you'd pay if your contract were up).Originally posted by Moliere View PostI have the 4S as well but have 1 year left on the contract. Not sure. My daughter is due for a new phone so I am going to use her credit to get an iPhone 5 for me and then hand my 4s down to her. She is thrilled to get my 4s for free so it is win-win. The other two are birthday presents for my son and DIL.Originally posted by Moliere View PostI have the 4S as well but have 1 year left on the contract. Yikes, totally not worth it. Maybe JL has other relatives that would be happy with a 4S and they are near the end of their contractOriginally posted by Donuthole View PostFrom what I understand, you'll end up paying $400 and signing a new 2-year deal (as opposed to the $200 you'd pay if your contract were up).

You're preaching to the choir on that one. I have yet to pay a nickel for a cell phone, so I'm not about to start paying 8,000 nickels for one.Originally posted by Moliere View PostYikes, totally not worth it. Bad financial analysis, amigo. I have it on good authority that the new iPhone will save you $1500. You can't afford not to have one!Originally posted by Donuthole View PostYou're preaching to the choir on that one. This isn't true. You've paid for every cell phone you've ever owned.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostYou're preaching to the choir on that one. Anand Lal Shimpi of AnandTech is well-versed in semiconductors.
Specifically, reflecting on the two times gain on the CPU side, Anand wrote:Based on the performance gains, Apple’s history of SoC naming and some other stuff we’ve heard recently, it looks like Apple has integrated two ARM Cortex A15 cores on Samsung’s 32nm LP HK+MG process.“This is a huge deal”, Anand explains, “because it means Apple beat both TI and Samsung on bringing A15s to market”.
