It was mentioned in the long review I read as being slightly worse...

In practice noticeable battery drain is most likely from people using their phones more (i.e. to check out all the new features).

She can make movies, rip DVDs, upload photos, print documents, etc. and it all works. The only time she still calls me is when she is doing something on the Dell laptop because the program won't run on the iMac.
Would you have MJ call ldc? Basically I get a complaint everyday about how awful our iMac is since we made the change.

One is plastic and has a bunch more colors. The other is the 5s.

The main advantages of the 5S over the 5C are (as I see them):

            1) 64-Bit Processor
            2) Improved Camera (the True-Tone flash I think will be a big feature)
            3) Fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone

There are a couple more, but those are the big ones. The 5S is slightly thinner too.

No need for a comparison, there's no reason to get the 5C when the 5S is only $100 more. There may be a larger difference overseas, but here with the subsidized phone purchases, you might as well just spend the $100, you'll get that back or more when you resell it.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

              • Just ordered new phones for MJ and me. I got the black (ships in 7 days) and she got the gold (ships next month sometime). Totally excited to have a sweet non-widget phone!!!

                • Our studio director was showing everyone his new phone. He tried to show us the new fingerprint function on the phone but every time he touched the home button, nothing happened. In fact, his demo of the fingerprint function was about as successful as his demo of the Siri function a couple of years ago, when he kept asking Siri where to buy a pizza.

To the contrary. My battery has lasted longer the last two days. I've been using it pretty much all day the last 3 days to check email and other stuff while waiting in lines at Dis.

My in-laws are there with some friends right now. The friends are from another country and have never been. My in-laws texted this morning to see if I could get them into Club 33 for lunch today.

I'll get back on topic now. I got an iPhone 5 a few months ago to replace the Blackberry I'd had forever. I've really enjoyed it overall. I'm going to wait until the weekend to update the OS in case I run into any hiccups. How long is the update taking people to download/install?

Took me about 30 mins on my iPad, a bit longer on my phone. It's not fast. But I do like the interface better.

The 5S apparently has two processors (A7 and M7) and the M7 chip is supposed to help with certain things (detecting movement?) and will adjust the settings appropriately. This is supposed to save battery life.

I'm now ready for the onslaught of fandroids to tell me that the Galaxy S has had this coprocessor since 2007...

Meh....can't really see the use of that.
