Glad you reminded me. I also forgot to exploit our internet friendship for my own personal gain. So here is my question: As an Apple contractor do you get special deals on these things?"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I just read a story on cbsnews.com that the fourth generation iPad was introduced today.
Does that mean they're dropping the price of the iPad3...err... the New iPad? That just seems like a strange move to me. Maybe they want to get the iPad mini and iPad on the same product cycle.Last edited by Color Me Badd Fan; 10-23-2012, 02:22 PM.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Perhaps. I think it also has to do with getting an iPad out there with the new adapter.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostI just read a story on cbsnews.com that the fourth generation iPad was introduced today.

I guess, but they're cannibalizing the sales of the iPad 3. I also wonder why they're introducing both one month after the iPhone 5. The big event every six months was a pretty slick marketing move, but now they've been sandwiched together.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostPerhaps. They probably just wanted to get everything new out there for the Christmas season. By the time Christmas rolls around, the current iteration of the iPad is already 9 months old.Part of it is based on academic grounds. From what I saw on the store, they're dropping the 3 and sticking with the 2 as a lower-cost option.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostI just read a story on cbsnews.com that the fourth generation iPad was introduced today.

Yeah. You can pick up a refurbed 16gb 3 for $379 right now. Seems like a no-brainer to go that route over the mini if you want an iPad.Originally posted by thesaint258 View PostFrom what I saw on the store, they're dropping the 3 and sticking with the 2 as a lower-cost option.
Weird price point for the mini especially with the underwhelming specs. $329 is too much and not competitive enough with the Nexus or Kindle Fire. Both are more than $100 cheaper and have better specs. The only advantage to the mini is if you're an Apple user and already have invested a lot into the Apple apps ecosystem. Otherwise it seems like a waste of money."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

I wonder if Samsung will ever make a commercial that doesn't talk about Apple

Based on your post, I was expecting that to be a Samsung commercial. About halfway through I thought that it was a lousy ad if the purpose was to attack Apple.
The Samsung commercials are funny. I hope they keep making them. They have a new one for the Note 2 that features LBJ going through his daily routine. I don't think they mention Apple but they do try to make the consumer believe that LBJ would use a Note.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

It's funny how small the Note 2 looks in his hands. It looks like a normal phone.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostBased on your post, I was expecting that to be a Samsung commercial. About halfway through I thought that it was a lousy ad if the purpose was to attack Apple.

I thought the same thing. I was wondering whether they scaled the phone down because the first one was ridiculously large. Are the dimensions the same? It is a cool commercial. I saw it yesterday and thought it was really well done. I liked the part that showed the tweet from Magic.Originally posted by Surfah View PostIt's funny how small the Note 2 looks in his hands. I saw that last night, my thought was I wonder how much you have to pay someone who loves their imagine so much to pretend a stylus is cool and something they would use?Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostBased on your post, I was expecting that to be a Samsung commercial. Here is the spot. I think it is a really cool ad. I noticed they even managed to get LBJ's girlfriend in the kitchen shot.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI saw that last night, my thought was I wonder how much you have to pay someone who loves their imagine so much to pretend a stylus is cool and something they would use?
In addition to the use of the stylus, why is Lebron carrying his cell phone out of the tunnel at the start of the game?

You need to be a student of Surfah's posts, the maps on android are sooooo good. He'd never find the court from the locker room with apple maps.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostIn addition to the use of the stylus, why is Lebron carrying his cell phone out of the tunnel at the start of the game?
