Meh. Ipad 3 will be fine. I would recommend waiting till the Ipad 4 or 5. Those will be great machines.

Samsung rethinking their Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet...
Interesting... Apple is the low price leader on tablet computing. They will most likely make up the low margins with content sales.Lee Don-joo, executive vice president of Samsung's mobile division, said that Apple has presented new challenges for the South Korean company with a thinner mobile gadget that is priced the same as its predecessor.
"We will have to improve the parts that are inadequate," Lee told Yonhap News Agency. "Apple made it very thin."
Samsung also made its latest Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet computer larger, faster and thinner than the 7-inch original Galaxy Tab. But the new, larger screen comes at a price.
The 7-inch Galaxy Tab was priced at nearly US$900 without a two-year contract from mobile operators, while the price of the iPad 2 starts at $499, with the most expensive model costing $829. Samsung did not announce the pricing details for the 10.1-inch tablet.
"The 10-inch (tablet) was to be priced higher than the 7-inch (tablet) but we will have to think that over," Lee added."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

So what impact with the iPhone5 (set to release this summer, right?) have on the pricing of the iPhone 4? I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on the 4 (32g = $299), but if waiting a few months will save me $150 or so, I can be patient. Did the 3Gs see a drop in price when the 4 was released last year?
Also, about refurbs . . . do i dare? ATT is offering a 32g refurb for $179. Is the limited warranty (90 days as opposed to 1 year) too risky to justify the $120 savings?Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

can you buy your refurb through apple? apple refurbs are perfectly fine. my wife's ipad is a refurb. same warranty, lower pricing. Often, the refurbs at apple havent even been used. They are simply returns. Apple does not sell "used' items, so they call them refurbs.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostSo what impact with the iPhone5 (set to release this summer, right?) have on the pricing of the iPhone 4? Apple is pulling that off because they're so vertically integrated. Vertical integration works against it with the pricing of their laptops and computers, but it's a strength when you're dealing with an emerging piece of hardware. The suppliers for Motorola and Samsung haven't reached the point where they've hit any economy of scale and the technology isn't developed enough for the costs to decreased appreciably. At every step along the supply chain, the costs increase for Motorola and Samsung while Apple has greater control over these costs because they make a much more significant portion of the parts that go into the IPad.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostSamsung rethinking their Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet...

Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Yes, when the Iphone5 comes out the 4 will drop in price. I am not sure how much but probably $50 at least if not more. I was going to get the 4 which my wife loves...but I figure if I can hold out for a few months, I can either get a better price or just get the latest and greatest.

Kind of true, but they usually on make available the lower memory older model. In this case the 16g will most likely be $149 but the 32g will not be available.
