Really great to see Apple add widgets to the home screen on iOS. What an amazingly innovative and groundbreaking idea!

I would prefer a touch screen.Originally posted by Commando View PostI just upgraded my 13" MacBook Pro. I can't lie- that Touch Bar has me geeked!
I am excited about the widgets on the iPhone though. Luckily my switch from Android to iPhone corresponded to a downtime in sports so I haven't missed my ESPN widget.
My biggest beef right now with the iPhone is that it insists on placing icons at the top of the display first. I would preferred to be able to place them lower where my thumb can more easily reach them and leave those top right corners empty. Of course on most apps the back button is in the top right corner too.

These little 10MB apps are nice because you don't have install a new app to, say, rent a bike or something."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Looks like Apple is sneaking up on a $2 trillion market cap. They might get there this week of things stay stable. Pretty insane to see their run over the past couple years. I bought some of it at $93ish/share in my IRA and like most of my good stock picks, I wish I would have bought more at the time. I did buy a bit more at around teh $230/share mark. But man, that stock just keeps climbing and climbing."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. I keep wondering if we have another tech bubble that is going to pop.Originally posted by Moliere View PostLooks like Apple is sneaking up on a $2 trillion market cap. Obviously no one really knows but a lot of people are wondering that same thing. THis market is a bit different than the tech bubble, which was based on internet companies that really had no valid business model. Apple is very different in that they have products but their entry into web services is where they are also making tons of money. I'm no expert but I do konw that Amazon was the first big tech company to really do this and AWS was killing it a couple years ago (and probably still is). Apple has also been smart with lower priced iPads and iPhones. When my son turned 13 we got him a brand new iPhone SE since the price point was so low. Tim Cook has been very good for Apple both in the past and as the CEO.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostI keep wondering if we have another tech bubble that is going to pop.
I've said this before, but the fundamentals of the economy were strong before the pandemic. I am surprised the markets really haven't lost much since the pandemic began but there is so much cash out there to spend/invest that it's crazy. Some brokerages are offering fractional shares as well, whcih I've heard has boosted demand for companies like Amazon and Tesla, which have high share valuations. It might also be helping Apple although Apple did just announce a share split (I think 1 for 4)."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. FAANMG stocks are now worth $7 trillion – more than the financial, energy, industrial, and material sectors combined.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostI keep wondering if we have another tech bubble that is going to pop."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Yeah, the government needs to break up the Amazon and Alphabet/Google monopolies. Microsoft could use to be kicked again also.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostFAANMG stocks are now worth $7 trillion – more than the financial, energy, industrial, and material sectors combined."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.
