In high school our football coach gave us chain links and then told this story about how we are only as strong as our weakest link. One night we went camping and two kids were drunk they put the links in the fire until they were red hot. Pulled them out and branded each other on the arm. The first one was fine the second kid jumped and it was dragged across his arm.

He has the worst scar I have ever seen on his arm.

The scar was pretty nasty for a long while. Luckily it has had 16 years to heal.

A couple of members of our football teams branded their numbers into their chests with hot hangars. Astounding. One of them reportedly did it in the mirror and burned it on backwards, but I never actually saw it, so I don't know if that's just an urban legend.

My understanding is that his number was 88 and all the kids at Murray High were astounded by his stupidity. Any truth to this?

No, that's a different kid. He did his upside down.

Attending church gives me the creeps, but I enjoy listening to the Sounds of Sunday. Oh Lord, My Redeemer is one of my favorite songs.
