The way their movie packs work is weird...It is cheaper to get all 3 in the bundle, that just HBO/Showtime. (You get some type of bill credit for having all 3.)

I don't have any boys, so I am not too worried about that channel.

It also comes with the Starz movie pack. Lost of Rookie of the Year and Sandlot. My kids love those.

This summer, when we put a HDTV in the office for the wife, I went to Best Buy and paid 199 for a new HD DVR Receiver.

Did you know that even though you bought it, that you don't own it? If I cancel my acct. I have to send that one back also.

I've done this several times with DTV with great success: Call up customer service and tell them you are looking to save some money and wonder if there are any credits they can apply to your account. It has worked everytime I have called them... Right now we have a credit of $15/month for 6 months, but we've gotten as high as $30 for 6 months. Sometimes they will throw in some of the pay channels for free.

I am with Tick.

I have 2 HD DVRs, 1 HD receiver. The Sports Pack and HBO. (love entourage, WIfe loves Big Love and True Blood). I also have Sunday Ticket, NBA league pass, and MLB extra innings depending on the season. Not to mention usually a UFC PPV every month.

I have choice xtra + DVR 75.99 per month
Sportspack and HBO= 26.00 per month

I am up there too. HD DVR, 2 HD receivers, I have the top package without all the HBO's and with the NFL package my bill has been around 175.00.

We're right around $100, and that's after dropping the HBO/Showtime/Cinemax package (If you've seen one Taxicab Confessions or Passion Cove, you've seen them all). We have four HD DVRs (stupid; why have four copies of So You Think You Can Dance?) and Sportspack.
