It's also important that you add your title, occupation or even paste your CV when declaring your preferred OS.

I voted for Ventanas View. Although I hate it.

Just admit you use Plan 9? I put in that option specifically for you.

I have never even heard of any of those other operating systems. It looks like nobody here uses them, but are these for the anti-establishment crowd?

OSX does Gantt charts so much better than Windows. It's not even close.

Yes, some of them are pretty obscure: particularly the bottom 3. Plan 9 I think was only ever an expermental/concept OS from Bell Labs. BeOS was an operating system that tried to compete briefly with the big boys in the mid 90s. MINIX was always a toy OS.

The other three are various forms of Un*x. Unix, of course, traditionally wasn't anti-establishment at all. For a long time it was the serious computing establishment but certainly Linux has an anti-establishment component (and so do some of the BSDs).

I roll with Windows XP, switched to classic style with high contrast black.

I roll with Zenwalk Linux, a Slackware Linux derivative, using the XFCE 4.4 desktop environment. (for both my desktop and my laptop)

You're using freeware from France. Pathetic. Don't expect your OS to operate more than 35 hours a week.

I haven't used a Gantt chart in about 3 years. We use QuickBase by Intuit which is a web based project managing system here. Before that I used BuildPro.

Ya the French connection is a bit embarassing; I would return to my Slackware roots but I like what they add to the base slackware.

I selected "Linux" in the poll, since the majority of my day is spent at work, and since I work for Red Hat, naturally I use Linux for everything work-related. I'm a product manager and business analyst in the IT department.

At home, though, I use a 24" iMac.
