Poppinga lives on because of his suckitude. Immortality might be worth it my friend. You should embrace your inner Poppinga."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."
"They talk about the economy this year. Hey, my hairline is in recession, my waistline is in inflation. Altogether, I'm in a depression."
"I like to bike. I could beat Lance Armstrong, only because he couldn't pass me if he was behind me."

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

People I know from before posting on CUF or any other message board:
nikuman/SHW -- BYU ward when we lived in the rabbit hutches
DDD -- law school classmate
Mr Incredible -- Aristides interned at his law firm, have maintained great friendship ever since
ER Cougar --served in the same mission, but not sure if I actually met him there or not
YOhio--Viva Carbon County! I used to hang with his brother
I think anyone else I now know in real life is ex post cuffo.

Shit...that does make me feel old.Originally posted by I.J. Reilly View PostI casually knew AA before I ever set foot on a message board.
I think I may have met The Tick as a kid when he served in my ward as a missionary. I bet that makes him feel old
I have been home for 15 years now.
IJ's dad was the Bishop of the last ward I served in.

Old is when you have the missionaries over for dinner and you find out that one of them is the son of an old zone leader from your mission.Originally posted by The_Tick View PostShit...that does make me feel old.

That was a bad day.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I am assuming that was before Parrot became your son in law. When you saw his post, you required your daughter to marry him?Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostI've known a few, and have been surprised on occasion when I learn a poster's real identity. One example of that was when I mentioned a funny CB post to my son-in-law. It had been written by a new poster named ParrotHead. He said, "Uh, that's me." I was quite proud.
Parrot is awesome and does not post enough.

It was purely physical.Originally posted by Solon View PostHow could you . . . ?Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...
None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.
I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

Whatevs. Parrot has mentioned many times how much he admires and respects me. His thoughts on you? He freely says to anyone who would listen: "Somebody needs to take YOhio down...take him down to Funktown!'

If he indeed said that, and I kind of don't think he did, he probably was merely extending an invitation to join him and his family on a trip to a wonderful and funky location for a vacation. I seriously doubt there were any negative connotations to what he said. He and I have always had a very cordial relationship on this internet message board.Originally posted by UteStar View PostWhatevs. Parrot has mentioned many times how much he admires and respects me. Oh, he totally said it! Cordial is one thing but that does not necessarily mean there is much respect there.
Jealousy sucks.
