    Halloween costumes

Since some people are dressing up at work today, I thought I would post a picture of our Obama Death panel.

There were several good costumes at my work.

That Obama looks more like Winston Zeddemore.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Here is a pic of my rad DVD costume. I even put a quarter down at the bottom of the DVD so you can get some appreciation for the scale.

ps the dent is from my son. He was trying to throw a baseball through the hole in the middle last night when I was upstairs. you can see other dents but apparently he really let one throw fly.

Good thing you put that quarter there b/c the couch and pillows provide no sense of scale.

        Cool costume.

          Cool costume.
you have no idea how big the couch may be. Quarters are the same size nationwide. stop being so provincial in your thinking.

DDD - is your wife going to be a DVD player? Think of the innuendo that it would stir up.

Jim Rome's take on people that dress up for Halloween and go to work in their costumes is hilarious. "If I'm going to a doctor, I don't want a guy wearing Batman gear to be checking me out."

I unfortunately haven't dressed up for Halloween in awhile now. I dressed up as a shower two years in a row (two entirely different locales, the latter being NYC). All it involved was some PVC piping, a backpack, a hula hoop, a shower curtain and some duct tape. A surprisingly easy costume to make. I rode on the subway with my costume in hand, some people figured out what the costume was from and they laughed.

Another lesson I learned from the shower outfit- making a complete ass of yourself in a guileless manner makes you more approachable.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Being the master of all things current and popular is it saying anything that you aren't going as Bluray?

ha. that is awesome. no, she isn't. I am going as a DVD only because that is what my daughter told me to do. Last year, my one daughter picked. This year, the other daughter picked. Next year, my son picks.

I am lucky. My daughter originally waned me to go as a table. A DVD is easier.

My wife is going as a witch. I told her, "nice, way to go out on a limb." I think I caught her during a stressful moment. Basically, I don't think I will make that observation to my wife ever again.

Last year my daughter went as Cinderella, my son as Gus Gus and my wife and I went as the ugly step sisters. The great thing was all I had to do is throw on a dress and a wig and I was good to go.

Here are my kids this year. My daughter is Tinker Bell, son is Captain Hook. I'm Peter Pan and my wife is Wendy. My wife really loves making the costumes so we have a lot of fun with it.

Last year my daughter went as a Lego. We spent less than $10 and everyone loved it!

We had a ward party and a lady's homemade costume was supposed to be a woman walking on her hands. Her real legs and feet were in the costume's arms & hands portion, and vice versa, with a plastic head sewn on that dangled beneath her. After a short while, the costume's crotch seam split, and a patch of hair from the top of her head poked through.
