On the Sophie B. Hawkins song "As I Lay Me Down", it sounds like the backup singers are singing "I Like Tacos!" I still don't know what they're saying.

Dude, me too Brings back memories of winter semester 1993.

I thought his album title was very clever....12 inches of Snow. It has 3 meanings.

"And little early bird he gave my anus a curly whirly, and and asked me if I needed a riiide! Blinded by the light, wrapped up like a douche and every odor in the night."

I could sear that's what it says.

While this one is pretty close lyrically, it is funny how the connotation changes:

A buddy in high school thought that Dr. Dre's line in California Love was "Diamonds shinning like I'm Rob Liberace".

Springsteen wrote this song. His version isn't bad.

I looked it up (go figure!)

                            According to "Ask Sophie":
                            Q

                            Hi Sophie,
I like your song "As I lay me down." I work in a bank and we
listen to the radio all day long and hear your song alot. Me
and the girls at work were listening one day, and this new girl
started singing your song. And in the background music on
one part the new girl thinks it says "I like tacos", but I
think it is just music or humming. This has been a big
controversies between us and I was wanted you to answer
my question. So does it really say "I like tacos" in the
background?? Sorry for the silly question.

                            Thank you,
                            Alicia

--Dear Alicia, this is a sweet question. I love tacos, but
that's not what I'm singing in the backround, it's "ooh la
kah koh", which is an indigenous language of the Ballantine
tribe. It means, "wash your feet before you sleep", which is
                            good advice on any account.

I rather prefer "I like tacos."

Okaaaaaaay, yeah cuz you know, wash your feet before you is so much less wierd than I want tacos.

                              Not really IMO.

"The heart of rock and roll, the heart of rock and roll is in Cleveland."

For the longest time I thought this song was a tribute to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It sort of makes sense, considering that the verses of the song discuss several other U.S. Cities.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
