When he started sending mixed signals, some folks decided that the party should continue at a different venue, where the 'guests' could take responsibility for the character and quality of the party. Mike hosted a nice party where some people met and became friends. Their relationships were not defined by the party, nor should they be limited to that venue.

Mike has obviously decided that he is invested in his party more than his relationships with his guests. That isn't a surprise to me, since I had already learned this about Mike. Relationships are only valuable to Mike as long as they are scratching a particular itch on his terms. The people here weren't his friends. They were party decorations.

And that is a FAR more accurate metaphor for Cougar Guard and the transition to CUF. CG was a party, not a freaking sacrificial alter.
Is this about how it went down?

Among the claims: that 49-year-old Scientology leader David Miscavige, a close associate of the church’s biggest star Tom Cruise, dished out constant abuse to his associates.
I think ultimately this was about 3D wanting to be ecclesiastical leader. No, he wasn't at the scene of the crime, but neither was Charles Manson! (He plied Pelagius with false promises of an Ensign-like religion forum.)

You need to brush up on your contemporary history.

Manson went with the group on the second night to the LaBianca home. He went into the house first and tied up Leno and Rosemary, then came back and told the group to go in and finish the job. In fact, Manson insisted on taking part the second night because he was displeased with how "sloppy" the Tate job was.

Your pop culture knowledge is no match for me, stable boy. Go home and practice.

I am suspicious of folks who are nice and appreciative. Your post reminds me of Barak Obama. I am going to be watching you closely in the future.

I am after all a person of questionable character. You have a right to be suspicious

Actually, you are perfect for the guy the church would send in to infiltrate and spy.

Exactly. However, you don't know he is an assasin until he shoots you.

I see. Thanks for the clarification.

You don't understand the split yet. One red blooded is all that would be required.
