  • GD Social Group ...

I also think it would be great to have a Gospel Doctrine Social Group. I am currently the teacher in my Ward and I have greatly appreciated Pelagius's posts about his lessons. I'd like to hear from other GD teachers here.

A simple Social Group would suffice in this instance to the benefit of those who want to participate but don't want what comes with the rest of the Religion Forum.

It's a good idea in general ... My wife is a gospel doctrine teacher right now so she often asks me to write up notes for her. I will try to post some notes this week. At this point I still think it can go throught the normal Foyer. I have no problem attaching a disclaimer that the purpose of such threads is for constructive and helpful discussion of the gospel doctrine lessons where mainstream LDS views are privileged. I would be really surprised if posters didn't happily comply with that request.

I think you are right. I once posted something and asked that it not degenerate into one of the debates. My wishes were granted.

Umm, then why don't you make one?

I don't know that there's a lot of support for it -- people seem to prefer the religion forum where they can call someone senile instead of contending with their ideas.
