    I work for CHW which is unionized for nurses. New nurses pull between 45 and 50K right out of community college. Within 5 years and including working extra shifts they can be pulling 85-90k/year and will make close to 80k working no extra shifts. Remember, that's 80k working 3 days/week. I have to think that this is one of the best returns on investment there is in this country, especially when the RN goes the AA route instead of the BSN.

              I am too lazy to do the math on these hourly quotes. Thanks for the per annum.

              90K, that is a nice living. Why aren't more people nurses? Why am I not a nurse???
