I don't accept that statement unless you specify why and how it sucks; and don't cut any corners....we need them.

Which begs the question: If BYU's corners were to suddenly disappear off the field, would anyone notice?

                  • Hummmm..... this is SOOOOOOOOO mysterious. I wonder why EVERYONE thought I was a man. I mean, there I was..... new to the board, minding my own business and posting my opinions in the foyer.... so so strange.

I'm going to go with because almost everyone else here is male.

I thought that would be your take. You know how to keep what is separate separate after all. It's a high-order skill you know.

It's pretty simple. When you come on strong and are not a known quantity from another board, there are questions. There are many here who have been around long enough to have their chains pulled in many different ways by those who are looking to have a little fun. Because of this, strong newcomers are seen with a wary eye until they are a known quantity.

In the meantime, hypothesis' are created to explain an outsider. In your case, there are few women who post on this board, which, imo is a shame, and those that do post, for the most part stay away from controversial foyer discussions. Your willingness to be confrontational and engage in a historically male forum created an easy hypothesis.

Really, you shouldn't take it personally.

                          • Thanks I.J., I know the same kind of thing happened to you when you started posting. I don't take it personally anymore. There were a lot of valid reasons for assuming I was a man. I think I even referred to some of them in my original post on this thread.... but don't quote me on that as I haven't read it recently.

I bumped this thread to make a different point. I'm purposefully not stating it explicitly because that sort of thing isn't a big part of the culture around here.

actually, I have a difficult time associating the name "Rosebud" with anything masculine.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Because it was obvious from the get go that you were a penis envy femmanatzee and accusing such of being men is usually the easiest way to work them into a lather as they keep shouting from the rooftops: I AM A STRONG WOMAN!

It makes people laugh, not always classy or particularly kind people, but many of those here, myself included, put a higher priority in getting a good laugh than being nice. This is also a male dominated locker room environment, with its roots in sports message board phenomna, and hazing is part of the ritual. Hazing is a great method of weeding out the weak.

Now if you came out and admitted you got falsies (and I ain't talking teethe, Sunshine!), you would go to the top of my coolness factor list. But I am vain, cheap and petty!

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.
