I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

I think you're confusing the SE with the Crypt, while they are similar in that they are not open to the public, Mike Waters is not a member of the SE and it isn't used for the same purposes you just listed. It's really much more benign than you make it out to be.Originally posted by Rosebud View PostNot interested? If I weren't interested in SE why would I be making these posts? SE is very interesting to me. I'm actually kind of fascinated by Mike Waters, his benevolent dictatorship, the way he used the crypt to manipulate his board, etc. It's totally interesting to me that this man who, as far as I understand it, in the name of Christianity and protecting testimonies put together a tyrannical moderation system and a (somewhat) secret and exclusive society. Interested isn't nearly strong enough of a word for how I feel about SE. Interest, however, shouldn't be misconstrued to mean that I want to gain admittance as it is currently organized.Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

I didn't catch this until pellegrino quoted it, but I don't think most of us would call this a fair characterization of waters and his board.Originally posted by Rosebud View PostI'm actually kind of fascinated by Mike Waters, his benevolent dictatorship, the way he used the crypt to manipulate his board, etc. It's totally interesting to me that this man who, as far as I understand it, in the name of Christianity and protecting testimonies put together a tyrannical moderation system and a (somewhat) secret and exclusive society.

Come to think of it, I can't think of an internet message board that fits that description.Originally posted by Babs View PostI didn't catch this until pellegrino quoted it, but I don't think most of us would call this a fair characterization of waters and his board.Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

Mike Waters has been labeled with much, but setting up CG to protect testimonies is not one of them. I'm interested in what led Rosebud to this conclusion.Originally posted by Babs View PostI didn't catch this until pellegrino quoted it, but I don't think most of us would call this a fair characterization of Mike Waters and his board.

Waters set up CG. MikeWaters runs it.Originally posted by YOhio View PostMike Waters has been labeled with much, but setting up CG to protect testimonies is not one of them. I'm interested in what led Rosebud to this conclusion.
I thought the stated motivation was interesting, too. I've never heard that before.

Another poster who wasn't allowed to see inside the crypt. It's too bad that he's not here to speak for himself. With that in mind, it's too bad that Mike isn't here, either. Maybe I'll go over to CG and bug himOriginally posted by YOhio View PostMike Waters has been labeled with much, but setting up CG to protect testimonies is not one of them. You're citing Robin as an authority on CG?

MikeWaters is JosĂ© Arcadio BuendĂa....obsessed with things and chained to a tree talking to himself about his flaming sword of truth. I hope he never comes here.Originally posted by Rosebud View PostAnother poster who wasn't allowed to see inside the crypt. It's too bad that he's not here to speak for himself. Okay.... I went over to CG and set up an account. It's impossible for me to post or start a thread, so I sent MW the following PM. Sorry, Mike, for making the PM public here. I won't do it again.
Hi.... this is Rosebud from CUF
I was wondering if you'd come over to CUF and speak for yourself in the Okay, Okay, Okay thread in Ellis Island. I have no idea if this is really be a good idea or not, but I made a post stating that I would come here and contact you. If you would prefer, I'd be happy to have a public discussion on this board instead.
Thanks,
RB

But like Simeon Ben Azzai, who glimpsed the Garden of Eden and went mad, or John of Viterbo who lost all reason when he was allowed to see the Trinity, Robin beheld the Crypt, angered ye gods, and was forever cast out.Originally posted by YOhio View PostIt can't be Robin.
