In fact, you guys should plan a meet-and-greet at BYU's home opener vs. Florida State. You can all meet up at the mall at 6AM and do laps inside while you get to know each other.

How about a serious athletic contest. We will put a 4 man golf team together of board members over 50 and you can put one together of under 50 board members. $400 entry fee per team and winner take all.

also, did you used to go to the movies all day when you were a kid, taking in a double feature, a news reel, and a cartoon? I know my mom did this when she was a kid and she lets us know on a regular basis.

By serious athletic contest, I was thinking javelin, discus, hammer throw, hurdles, high jump, long jump, and overall calisthenics.

Nice intro. Great to have you here.

myboynoah and I both went to the same mission as you. At about the same time. Given your age, I was probably 2-3 years after you. I got the tail-end of the President Stout era. I ended up in Osaka when they split.

This idea is ridiculous enough to actually be worth pursuing.

Does everyone remember that scene in Mr. Mom.....they go to house of Caroline's boss and he is hosting the Corporate Olympics? Jack has his gym bag ready to go in the car and he throws the race at the end so that Martin Mull can win it all? I have always wanted to do something like that.

We need to put together some sort of semi-official CUF Olympics, with ridiculous events that level the playing field for older dudes and guys with bad knees *ahem*.....

Home opener vs Florida State is just around the corner, gents. Let's get planning. I can't think of a more worthy home game around which we can plan a massive homecoming of sorts. Is Aspen Grove available?

When I was a kid a gay person was someone who was happy and fun to be around. Maybe that is where the term came from.

Gay people are still a blast to be around. Not much has changed!

Sounds good to me. Now I just need to get Jake Ellison and a couple of my other ringer friends to create an account.

That's cheating, but not surprising. It started in church basketball and softball with the non-member exemption rule.

                              Welcome Happyone.

Can you say a bit more about your experience going back to college for a second bachelor's degree? I have been contemplating it for a bit myself, and would like to hear what you thought about it. Specifically:

                              1. Nuts and bolts -- is applying to college for a second time through different? I assume all of your old GE credits still apply, so you can focus on degree related courses only. Is that the way it works?

                              2. Culture -- in grad school we had a few students who were MUCH older than most of us. What was that like?

                              Thanks in advance.
