      Allah loves wondrous variety.

Btw, I thought of you a couple of weeks ago in Costa Rica. We went for a 2 mile hike through the rain forest, and it poured the entire time. When we finally got back to the ranger station, I found a tick on my leg, and I said, "Miren, una garrapata."

My son was an unholy terror yesterday, and for a second, I contemplated leaving "it" in Beaver (there's another joke here that I'm not going to make). Wally, was the older brother of Jerry Mathers on the hit TV show, Leave it to Beaver. When I was a kid, this show was in heavy rotation on TBS, the Superstation, home of the Atlanta Braves (America's Team!). The great Dale Murphy was my grandma's home teacher in the 1980s, and my aunt was a PR rep for the Church in the Atlanta area. She was in contact with Garth and Dane Iorg, and even the great Stone Mountain, Georgia ballplayer, Wally "Absorbine" Joyner. I can still remember going to Wal-Mart on Wade Green Rd in Kennesaw, Georgia to buy 1987 Topps baseball cards, hoping to get Joyner's rookie card (even though he did have an 86 Topps Update card). My dad and I loved to collect baseball cards together, and we would usually get them at PACE warehouse or Wal-Mart. My dad always called Wal-Mart "Wally World" even though I told him that Wally World could only be the ultimate destination in the National Lampoon Vacation movie. So, the question remains, of the four National Lampoon Vacation movies, which one is the best, and why?

Answer carefully, because our future dealings on this site could be based, in large part, on how you answer the above question.
My parents rented European Vacation when I was 8-10 years old and we watched it as a family. It left an indelible imprint, or rather two of them, in my mind and cemented into place my heterosexuality.

Had my mother covered my eyes in time, there’s no telling what kind of Nancy-boy I could’ve become.

Thanks for re-connecting me with that memory.

Yes, another engineer! Which flavor of engineering do you practice? I know there are a few civilized engineers on this board. I am more of an uncivilized engineer (aka. computer/electrical) myself.

If I had a little more mental agility I might have chosen your path, as it turned out I became an environmental engineer.

The mission had been open for 3 years at that time.

I was around seven when my parents rented the first vacation. We had a Beta VCR and this was this when I learned about the slow button. In this regard, Beta machines supposedly kicked VHS's ass.

Beverly D'Angelo definitely has a spot in the Appolonia Corleone Hall of Fame. Ironically, she was a long time girlfriend of Al Pacino.

Also, my mission president's son was in, I believe, Yekatrinburg (or was it Novosobirsk?) from 96-98 (July 96 to July 98). While my mission president was okay, his wife was most definitely not okay and her half of the genetic code combined with her considerable influence as the mom made all of my mission president's kids pretty weird.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
