Welcome Ted, I am pleased that you chose the pellegrino-approved template to introduce yourself and like others I am curious why your son hasn't received interest from BYU, especially if he goes to their camps.

Also, hopefully Utah sends your son a letter soon.
He would actually like to play for Utah rather than BYU for some reason. As a BYU alumni it would be hard for me to put on that Ute shirt. He is going to the All Poly camp in Utah this summer so they should get a good look.

        Thanks for the iPhone tip.

Well I am sure that will change once we're in the Big 12 and he gets to play close to home.

Good for you. A couple of days ago on a trip to SLC my daughter asked me to go through all of the Jimi Hendrix songs on my iPod and point out my favorites and what I liked about each one. We discussed the blues influence on his music and how he used to jam with B.B. King and Janis Joplin and how strongly his music influenced Stevie Ray Vaughan. It was a great bonding experience.

Tell your boy that if Texas offers, he should accept. On the spot.
Yes, stranglehold is on my list of Ted's two greatest hits.

Our son went to the UT camp last year and has a picture from it of himself and Mack Brown on his wall. I am sure he would love an UT offer. Mack took a pretty good liking of him and called him "the birdman". I am not sure why. Maybe it was the phohawk haircut had at the time.

Ted is from Detroit but has a big ranch near Waco. I think he also lives in Michigan when it is too hot. For tax reasons I am sure he claims Texas as home like me.

Our son went to BYU's camp last and will be going to the full pad camp this summer. I have never figured out how BYU recruits. For example, a couple of my YM in my ward were both all region LB's and graduated at the same time. I thought one of them was actually a little better player than the other. BYU made an offer to the other one (Ogletree, if you are wondering). The other one went to play at the AFA. It seems that BYU overlooks some great Texas players.

A solid intro, Ted. Welcome to the bored.

As much as I hate to admit it, the pellegrino-approved introduction template has really raised the quality of intros in recent months. Only the Space Ghost-approved introduction template has yet to surpass it in quality submissions.
