I have only posted five times and people are already bugging me to do this...

    How did you find CUF
Space Ghost pointed me here a while ago. I resisted as long as I could.

What do you like about CUF
There seems to be much more intelligent life on CUF compared to the other boards I looked at. Also, the signal-to-noise ratio of the comments is much higher here.

What don't I like about CUF?
    No iPhone app.

How did you choose your moniker?
Ted Nugent and I have a few things in common... We both live in Texas and like guns. Other than that... I really don't care much for his music except for a few of his songs. I did run into him once at the local Bass Pro Shop. Seems like a nice guy. Also, I use to catch his reality show ("Surviving Nugent") on TV.

What do you do (other than read CUF)?
I am a computer engineering for hire. I work as a contract engineer for Apple (Mac OS X/iPhone OS). They tried to get me to move to California but I recommended they to move to Texas instead. Maybe when California becomes insolvent and wants the $30B they have in the bank they will take my advice.

I coach Pop Warner in ground zero of football country (North Texas). (How many public high schools do you know build $60M football stadiums?)

I enjoy spending time with my seven kids and beautiful wife. We watch high school football together almost every Friday night in the fall like most everyone else around here.

How many States have you lived in?
Idaho, Utah, North Carolina, and Texas. We currently live in Texas but migrate to our home in Heber City, Utah during most of the summer. Our kids go to BYU sports camps and we all enjoy the cooler weather.

    What are your sports loyalties?
BYU Football. I played LB/DE in high school and was recruited by Boise State (D-II at the time) and Ricks (which actually had football at the time) but went to BYU on an academic scholarship instead. I played Intramural football but was kicked out for chopping someone that mostly deserved it. I was at BYU during the Robbie Bosco and Ty Detmer years working on degrees in computer engineering. Space Ghost, I and a few others got together and formed a company so we both dropped out of our PhD programs. I had completed all my course work. Also, our oldest daughter is in the BYU marching band so we have a good excuse to travel to BYU football games.

Boise State Football. I was born and raised in Boise State football country.

KU, Iowa, Texas Tech, and Texas football since they have sent letters and shown interest in my 6'4" 230lb son that plays varsity football. This list will hopefully grow a lot more before his senior year.
Edit 1: Our son got a few more letters. Add U of Nevada (Reno) and Baylor Football to the list.

When not watching high school or college football I will occasionally listen to the local ESPN station gripe about the Cowboys (24x7x365) or watch Nascar.

What's your standing in the church?
I was recently released as YM president (after serving my 5 year tenure) but I told the bishop if he didn't put me back in with the YM I wasn't coming back to church. I pretty much will skip EQ meeting and argue with the Sunday school teachers anyway. I am currently Venture Crew Advisor. I avoid ward temple night and EQ parties when possible.

Do you pee in the sink?
I have but I prefer peeing on fire ant mounts.

When your kids get older, will you do drugs with them in order to teach them a responsible approach to drugs?
I have two kids in college and another that will be starting this fall. (All at BYU. All majoring in engineering for some reason.) They are 18 or older so they can think for themselves. I believe I teach my kids correct principles and let them govern and make informed decisions for themselves. I have actually taken all my kids for a ride through some of the rougher areas of Dallas and pointed out people obviously on drugs so I think they are very educated about this subject or at least scare to hell about it.

Personally, I think marijuana should be legalized. Not because I like it but because the war on drugs is mostly a total failure just like the prohibition of alcohol.

Are you looking forward to Wuap's welcome question and what do you think it will be?
Who's Wuap? Is he that "bananas and milk" kid?

Why are you so creepy? How long have you been lurking?
I guess because I have been reading your all comments for a while before I actually created an account so you don't even know I have been lurking. I think Space Ghost told me about this site about six months ago.

    Not people! Just one person.

    Welcome.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Great intro, nice to have you here.

If you switch to mobile style (found in the lower left-hand corner of the window) on your iPhone, I've found it to be extremely nice. It's not as good as an app, but it is cleaner to navigate.

Also, hopefully Utah sends your son a letter soon.

I've heard about the insects in Texas, but I didn't know they were that nasty!

Welcome. You might be our first out of the closet NASCAR fan, I have my suspicions about FN Phat though.

I can attest that FN Phat is not a NASCAR fan. But that doesn't change the color of his neck.

Based on your BYU QB contemporaries, we are similarly decrepit. Good time to be a BYU student with football tickets. Welcome.

                    Welcome, Welcome

Nice to have another computer geek here.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

Welcome, Ted Nugent. For some reason I thought he lived in Michigan. So what can we do to get your boy to BYU?

And then decommit to sign with BYU.
