He drew a picture of the guy that played Satan in that Bible miniseries on the History Channel who just happened to look exactly like Obama.Originally posted by Moliere View PostThe former. This thread is priceless. The new painting is just flat out sloppy in both technique and content. I mean, he's missing Obama
Like I've said before, I saw an interview with McNaughton one time, I firmly believe that he's in on the joke. He's just trying to cash in on LDS hunger for bad art. He probably got the idea from the Del Parson exhibit at the Orem Costco.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I think whoever hired Colbert to do the White House Correspondent's Dinner for Pres. Bush in 2006 had the exact same thing go through his mind.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostIsn't Colbert more conservative? Maybe I should watch more TV.

I'm a little pissed that I can't buy a print of this thing to go next to my gun rack and my bullion safe.Originally posted by SoCalCoug View PostHe's a donkey in elephant clothing.

Current bid-price on the original is $25,000. Any bets that this is just a number thrown out by McNaughton to discourage people from calling in lowball offers? No way somebody is really offering him 25K for that. Right?

No, I am sure he could get far more than that. We can chuckle at his lunacy, but McKnotHead is laughing all the way to the bank.Originally posted by Solon View PostI'm a little pissed that I can't buy a print of this thing to go next to my gun rack and my bullion safe.

Utah artist Jon McNaughton told the site Buzzfeed this week that the asking price for original versions of the painting will be $300,000. The artist also told the site that Fox News host Sean Hannity has already purchased one of the three originals for "at least six figures." (McNaughton was a recent guest on Hannity's show.)
