How could he miss two shots?

Tyler Haws goes 3-5 from the floor and 6-6 from the line for 12 pts (19 minutes) in Team USAs exhibition win over a Russian pro team. The same team Terrell Lyday played for the past 5 seasons.
Looks like today's game (US won 140-46 over UAE) will be replayed on ESPNU at 5 PM MST.
I watched about 5 min of the game and only 1 min with Haws in the 3rd quarter. He had an nice alley-oop assist as did every player that touched the ball. I think the CS all-stars could have beaten that UAE team.

I can't remember the last time I watched a game on TV that was more mismatched than those two teams. Sure they won by 94 points, but they could have very easily held UAE to less than 30 and they could have scored 160+.

They won by 94, but it wasn't that close. Wow, that sounds bad.
Haws's line, IIRC, was pretty modest, especially for a blowout like that. I was expecting more PT and stronger numbers given the exhibition games. Does anybody who watched the game know why?

It really wasn't, IMO. It's not as if they played a great game or that UAE played poorly (other than they just suck).
BTW, I'm at halftime watching their game against the Czechs - I think they are up 41-22. Some NBA team is going to be very fortunate to get Cory Jefferson. Such a complete big man. Can score inside, has a nice jumpshot with excellent extension and elevation, rebounds, is a great athlete, good size, defends both on the ball and can block shots. So impressive. Also, Doug McDermott is a fantastic offensive player and rebounder, but because he lacks athleticism I'm just not sold on his NBA potential. It will be interesting to watch him the next couple years. After those two, everybody else is a step down - Will Sheehey has excellent size and athleticism for two and can shoot it. Spencer Dinwiddie is pretty impressive as a tall PG. Yogi Ferrell will probably be an NBA player someday with good quickness and a nice all-around game for a PG, though not great in any one area.
This team probably won't win it all, but I like the way they are built with a combination of a ton of shooting, good size, athleticism and ball handling.
