Could it become a rivalry? No doubt. Will it ever rival the rivalry? Never.

This rivalry is going to need a name.

I realize Utah's adission to the Pac 12 has made you bitter for more than one reason.

I think it should be called the Pine Cone cup.

that's a great option because it also refers to both schools' strong ski teams. You should send it in to the doctor on the hill.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Where have I been bitter? It was a joke, the Laughing Assassin would have given me an lol on that joke.

If it gains a name it will have something to do with the mountains. Rocky Mountain Showdown or something.

I like Pine Cone Cup. It seems appropriate.

                    It's brilliant.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I wonder if there are any rituals in downhill skiing that can be used as the foundation of a name. If there is an exchange of pine cones or something that could be appropriate. I like the pine cone cup.

                          The Teton D Cups

I know, the Tetons are in Wyoming, but who would really care, well, except Landpoke.

                            The Colorado Blue Spruce rivalry.

They could also a rivalry with UCLA or Cal and call it the California Gull showdown.
