in answering should we or should we not assume that clawson has at least one unblocked blitz on the QB?Originally posted by Babs View Posthint, the obvious answer here is: "I don't know about how many out of ten, but it's pretty clear who wins best two of three."PLesa excuse the tpyos.

For my serious thoughts. I honestly don't give a shit what folks voted BYU or Oklahoma. I don't care what Lou Holtz or the Herd or Godon Monson or Trev Alberts or that guy with the long eyebrows that Babs uses in much the same way I use Andrew Rich - to wake the neighbors screaming their name while doling out corporal punishment to one's own hindquarters.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostIs there some irrevocable law decreed in heaven that the winner of one head-to-head game by a solitary point means that team is definitely better than the other team and therefore should be ranked higher?
What I do care about is that BYU is a much better team than they were last year. I care that they beat Oklahoma with or without Sam Bradford. What I care about is that Bronco Mendenhall and Jaimie Hill gave the pussies in our fanbase who spent all summer pulling string about anything and everything a big glass of STFU. I care that Jordan Pendleton is finding his groove and a place to let his God given potential shine through. I care that Max Hall gave the same pussies that Bronco and Jaimie gave a glass of STFU a chaser glass of STFU. It was fun. Not quite as Shawshank Redemption like as the Beck to Harline, but it was real, real fun. I also care that Andrew Rich is on a mission from God to make my nipples hard. I also care that Brian Logan has a mother going crazy in the stands amongst a sea of lilly white descendents of Scando Pioneers getting fired up as her baby plays the game with a hell of a lot of heart and determination.
I care that at this point BYU has another game with a chance to go 2-0.Do Your Damnedest In An Ostentatious Manner All The Time!

I guess it depends if it is a seeding or a result.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostIs there some irrevocable law decreed in heaven that the winner of one head-to-head game by a solitary point means that team is definitely better than the other team and therefore should be ranked higher?PLesa excuse the tpyos.

BYU is the only team to be undefeated against Oklahoma with more than one victory.

Oklahoma is better on paper. I would say they would win at least 9 out of 10 on paper. BYU is better on the field. I would say they would win 1 out of 1 on the field.
Oklahoma is probably the better team, but the best measurement is the head to head match-up. If this would have been the 11th game of the season and BYU was winless and Oklahoma was undefeated, I would concur that Oklahoma would be the better team even if BYU beat them.
Hell, I think we should give Oklahoma the 2008 National Championship. They were a better team than Florida, but had a bad night.Just try it once. One beer or one cigarette or one porno movie won't hurt. - Dallin H. Oaks
