And look what he turned into! I saw him live last week - he's sicker in person than I thought.

Looks like it is a grade II/III AC sprain.

Kind of weird news out of Norman. Part of me wonders why they're still so cryptic about things. No time line as of yet. In fact they're saying it's going to be 1-2 weeks before they announce one and determine when he may come back. Stoops saying it's going to be a while isn't comforting for Sooner fans. I am thinking he's out at least 6-8 weeks.

The reason they're so cryptic is that rehab is all over the map on these things. I imagine even more so with a quarterback. If he's really a grade III, I think that some docs would even consider surgery, given his future.

And not to nitpick, but let's just call it an AC separation, not a sprain. If he's a grade II, he's already ruptured the AC ligament.

          Ok...I guess that was nitpicking.

Word on ESPN during the Miami FSU game. Surgery not expected.

              They've already ruled out surgery.

Now they are saying rehab, no surgery and 2-4 weeks. I expect he will be back by the Miami game.

Again...rehab is all over the map on these. I would say with certainty that he will be back in 2- 18 weeks.

I have heard that this injury is particularly painful even post-rehab, and I'm wondering when he'll be himself again.

How do they go from the first news blurb to no surgery and 2-4 weeks in about 3 hours? That's some training room they got there.

                          Or quite the spin room.

Either way, I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

I think Stoops is trying to give the team some hope so they work hard the next few weeks with the idea that Bradford will be back when the meat of the schedule comes up in October. Simply put, Oklahoma likely still controls its own destiny. If it can beat Texas, Okie State and win the Big 12 championship, it still has a better than 50% shot at making the NC game. The worst thing that could happen is the team drops another game prior to the Texas game.

Even with Porn Stache ("Porn"), OU should beat Miami. Porn will get better over the next couple weeks and if the news comes that Bradford's injury will require more time to heal, the team will have learned that it can win with Porn.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
