Some people are realists...some people are pessimists...some people are fatalists.

Me? I once rebounded an intentionally missed foul shot with one second on the clock and my team down by two and tipped it in for the win and a share of the conference title. I've come back from 18-13 in a ralley scoring game to 21 to advance to the main draw. I've jumped a PR to win a dual meet by 2 points. I don't see any reason to be a realist, a pessimist or a fatalist. There is no benefit in being right if you are right at making a pussy call.

    BYU 42
    Sooners 28

I'd rather be wrong if my guys lose.

The answer to this one ought to be good.

You're making it too complicated...I picked the score to be 61-17 for Oklahoma. I didn't pick that score because I'm a realist, pessimist or fatalist. I picked that score based on what I saw of the two teams last year and what I know about them for this year. It is simply my honest answer to the question posed in the initial post of this thread.

I didn't realize the purpose of this thread was to show how big of a fan you are with your prediction. If that's the case:

                  BYU 223
                  OU 0

Suck on that, you pompous PR jumper.

I guess I missed that part of his story.

Seems like that might be a fairly important detail. Call me crazy...

then you don't win on a tip-in. you win on a free throw.

Where does the free throw tip-in story rank on the Paul H. Dunn scale? On the scale of 1 to 10 with President Monson's minor embellishments about the numerous widows in his SLC ward being a 1 and Stephen Glass's whoppers at the New Republic being a 10, K-Dog's story is a solid 5.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

By the way, I'm seriously contemplating putting a few hundred down on Oklahoma beating the spread. There are three possible conclusions with two of them making me happy:

BYU wins and I'm really happy
OU wins big and I'm really happy
OU wins by less than 22 points and I'm pissed.

I would like to point out that in K-Dog's defense, he could have tipped in a very long rebound from behind the 3-point line. In which case, he should be commended, not ridiculed.

What if it was a long rebound and he tipped it in from behind the 3 point line?

Tied it on the tip-in. Won in overtime. We were down by three and they intentionally fouled on the inbound leaving us with one secondish and a three point deficit. Teammate hit the first shot then put the second off the back of the iron.
