We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Random thoughts on the game. I took my oldest daughter and youngest son and we sat at about the 20 yard line up in the 200 section.
- Wilson is very good. Some of those throws were absolutely perfect. He’s still missing some of those out routes but overall he’s incredible. Big fan.
- I was wondering how the receivers would do against a decent defense. Milne didn’t disappoint. Romney was covered pretty well the whole game. If we had Bushman then this offense would be insane.
- on one of those flea flickers, Milne was all alone in the end zone and Zach missed seeing him. He got the completion to someone else but it could have been a touchdown right away.
- our offensive line got no push at all throughout the entire game. Kind of disappointing but with injuries I guess that can be expected.
- the defense clearly missed Tonga. Hilefully he’s good to go for next game as they ran fairly well against us until the fourth quarter.
- Mason Wake is fun. Love having him getting playing time. The stadium announcer kept calling him by some other name but I can’t remember it but it was nothing close to his real name.
- review in college sucks. It takes way too long.
- UH’s stadium is pretty nice even if it’s a little small. I thought the same thing about their basketball arena last winter. But it was a perfect night weather wise for a football game.
- UH fans always seem to be great. Never had a problem with them but it probably helps that there were probably almost as many BYU fans at these games.

Romney was on the bench most of the game with a sore hammy.

I was trying to figure out where he was most of the time but saw him in a number of snaps. If he’s healthy, he and Dax are turning into a great we tandem.

Went to bed early (Long day with little sleep) and got up to see the game start in the 4th quarter. Looks like I missed all the bad and enjoyed the good.
The pa guy in the stadium called masen wake "joe nelson" the whole game until the very end
Ha, yeah that was the name. Cracked me up every time.

Love that the offense stayed aggressive and looking to score with a lead in the 4th.
Love that the defense was able to stiffen up too. Early, Tune looked like a world beater and Houston's RB seemed like he couldn't be tackled - all kinds of whiffing and bouncing off tacklers for extra yards. And I really loved the pressure they were finally able to bring in the 4th. Awesome.
Via the BYUSports FB page, I watched a short post-game interview with Milne. He was asked if there was a time during the game when he thought they'd lose. He gave a very emphatic "no", and was incredulous that such an idea would have ever entered his mind. He said he knew the offense would score a lot more and that the defense was making adjustments and would shut down Houston. Nice that they have so much confidence and that they didn't let the adversity detract from that.
