Okay, folks, we're now a little bit more than three weeks away from the game, and I think it might be time to start thinking about a get-together for those of us who are going. Unfortunately, I don't think we have anybody from Dallas in the group anymore (now that FM is gone), which leaves me as the closest geographically (I think). This in turn means that a tailgate type event is going to be hard to pull off unless one of you can figure out how to strap a grill to my motorcycle for the ride up.

Much as I'd like to do something like, say, meet up at Nobu and carry on around the table, (i) that's pretty damn expensive and (ii) Nobu in Dallas doesn't do lunch anyway, so we'd have a conflict with the game. For similar reasons, dinner just about anywhere is out unless we do it late after the game.

Anybody have any thoughts? I'm probably going to be there starting at about 1:00 pm, give or take and won't be going back until the next day.

My proposal is that we meet up before the game at 3 or 330, in honor of our foray in to the Lone Star State, at the Texas Land and Cattle Company in Arlington.

It'll be early enough that the il pads () among us can order off the lunch menu, but late enough that the dinner fare will also be available. Should be easy access for everybody, and just a mile from the stadium.

This wouldn't preclude those who want to hang out the night before the game from doing that, as well.

What say you?

I know nothing about either Braums or TL&C, but I have heard nothing but good stuff about TL&C. However, I'm much more likely to eat a steak than ice cream, so that gets my vote. Cowboy will also thank us.

Do they take reservations - we may want to get a headcount and reserve up a table posthaste.

My suggestion to meet up at braums was (mostly) a joke.

I don't anticipate that our group will be very large, but if those of you who want to meet up for dinner at TLC will post here or shoot me a mail that you're joining us, and how many are in your party, I'll make the reservations. (Unless anyone has any better suggestions.)

I am flying back from Sao Paulo through DFW that morning (Dallas is my hometown, btw)...I am in for the game and for a steak.
