Maybe he was one of those extra-devout guys who kept dressing as a missionary until he went into the high council.

So I guess Harbaugh visited this kid WHILE STILL ON HIS MISSION!
What kind of mission president would allow this? Why would the kid agree to this? Why would the parents allow this?
Horrible precedent. I hope the church drops the hammer.
Kids mission is coming to a close and he is looking out for post mission stuff. This is no different than talking to admissions/department folks when trying to figure out what program they are trying to get into post mission.
Drop the hammer? What are they going to do...pull the kids TR?

I felt like there was always a little leeway for preparing for post-mission life. You could take time to register for classes, etc. This goes a bit beyond that, obviously.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

He got an offer from Boise a couple of days ago. He will have some good options.Originally posted by All-American View Post
If I were in High School and had an offer and commitment to go play for BYU, and was then told I had an offer no more, I'd be devastated. Hopefully it wasn't a pulled offer so much as seeing other big names with whom he'd have to compete for playing time and reading the tea leaves.

while I understand it, it makes me sad for these kids that have committed, to then have the offer pulled.

No idea. The speciation I saw was that with the quality of recruits getting better, and quality transfers and limited scholarships available, he may be a casualty of that.
